About Richard

I am a Personal Coach or Life Coach and commenced coaching in Newcastle in September 2005. I have coached many people from many forms of occupation ranging from University Students to CEO/Managers/Business Owners/Leadership Teams

Over the years my coaching practice has had a major focus on coaching people in business such as CEO/Managers/Business Partners/Business Owners/Leadership Teams. I have developed a speciality in this area.

I have used the material that coach to build a very successful and thriving coaching practice in a way that is simple and effortless. I have no social media exposure and I generally do not do any formal networking. Most of my clients are referrals. Part of the coaching program is to educate people on how to create the life/reality they want for themselves and I have used this philosophy to create the life/business I want for myself. I work 4 days a week. Go to the gym 5 times a week and play golf 3 times a week. I don’t say this to impress you but to impress upon you that with you can create your reality to be how you want it to be and it is easy with self – awareness. Not so without it. If you are in Business I will show you how to create clients without leaving your chair.

Before I commenced coaching I was a Lawyer for 15 years. I had a practice with 5 partners and 60 employees. I was the CEO of this business for the last 4 years that I was in the practice. Before that I was a Police Prosecutor for 10years.

My coaching is challenging, transformational and profound. What I am after permanent and sustainable change. It is a process and everyone has their own speed by which they move through the process. Through the process you will deal with and let go of any fears and limitations that get in the way of you creating and experiencing the most magnificent you and the life you want.

Frequently asked questions about me and my coaching:

How did you move from law to coaching?

When I became the CEO of my law practice we decided we wanted to do business differently so we employed some Business and Personal Coaches. This is where I got my first exposure to the world of personal development and self awareness. I then had 4 years of intense coaching. Two full days a month for 4years. I also immersed myself in any personal development program that took my interest. Amongst others things I completed the Masters Practitioner Level in Neuro-Linguistic Programing and Hypnosis. Whilst I don’t do any hypnosis today it gave me a powerful insight into the working of the “unconscious” mind.

I have continued my own coaching since that time and have had 1 full day per month of my own coaching with my mentor for the last 13 years.

The reason I immersed myself in the study of self-awareness was that I discover I had a deep need and desire to understand myself. To understand what was driving my thinking, feelings, choices, communication and behaviour. Whilst I felt I had been very successful in my life from a materialistic perspective I thought there was something missing so I set out to discover what it was.

Over the last 17 years I have gained a wealth of knowledge and practical experience of understanding how thinking affects behaviour. Over this period I have supported many people to understand themselves and to create the life/relationship/business that they really want from a place of self love.

Is your coaching spirtually based?

My coaching has significant spiritual aspects however I do have a large emphasis on practical application. Whilst spiritual theory is great if you can’t apply it to your every day life it is of no benefit to you.

What form does your coaching take?

I generally do two forms of coaching – individual sessions and/or group sessions.

When I do group sessions it is usually groups from the same Business. I enjoy coaching groups where there is a commonality of purpose.

How can I get started?

The first part in getting started is for us to meet and discuss your expectations, my process, philosophy, fees and see if we are good fit.

This first meeting is free and will take about an hour.
